maniac now streaming on netflix

Septemper 21st, 2018
I was lucky to be able to play a part in Maniac, a Netflix limited series directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga with Oscar winning Emma Stone and Jonah Hill (they are also executive producers). It is about two struggling strangers who connect during a mind-bending pharmaceutical trial involving a doctor with mother issues and an emotionally complex computer.
Maniac is not like any other series out there. It dives deep into mental health, trauma, and human connection in a unique and thought-provoking way with a distinct sense of humor. I hope you check it out.

rising Action Star award
August 26th, 2018
I was honored to receive Rising Action Star Award (female, short) from wonderful Del Weston and Theresa Weston at AOF Action On Film International Film Festival in Las Vegas!
At AOF, our short film, First Samurai in New York, also won Best Costumes for Maria Hooper. Kyo Kasumi, a fight coordinator, actor, and producer of our film, and I were so happy to bring these two awards back to New York that were earned by everyone’s hard work. Congratulations to the amazing FSNY team!
I would like to humbly express my gratitude to Del, Theresa, and everyone who made this miracle night possible. And big congrats to all the fellow filmmakers on and behind the camera.

I played a part in a feature film by Martin McDonagh back in 2016 and the film finally came out! Though my scene didn’t make the final cut, I would like to recommend everyone to watch this wonderful film. It is truly a great story telling filled with great acting.

I starred in a period short film “First Samurai in New York” (created by Y.K. Well Enterprise and directed by Justin Ambrosino) as Chiyo, a female samurai and the oldest sister of a Japanese immigrant family in the late 19th century. I am one of the producers too, and we are in the process of promoting the film. Please stay tuned for more updates.

Unbreakable Kimmy Shmidt
March 6th, 2015
Unbreakable Kimmy Shmidt, a hilarious new comedy series created by Tina Fay and Robert Carlock (30Rock) is now available on Netflix!. I'm in one of the episodes. Not just funny, I found the show to be thoughtful and touching. Kimmy is literally “unbreakable” no matter what happens to her.

Exciting news from 2nd Avenue !!

Thank you for watching and supporting our Japanese-American web-series, 2nd Avenue. I want to share some of the progress here.
Our 2nd Avenue YouTube channel has enjoyed about 10,000 views within a few weeks of it's debut in August, 2013. Since then, we have been featured in major internet news and media outlets like Yahoo! Japan, NY Keizai Shimbun (9/4/13, 12/27/13), and roomie.jp among others. Additionally, we were thrilled to be featured in such print publications as The Asahi Shimbun (below), Soen, Badi, NY Japion, Weekly NY Seikatsu, Weekly Biz, US Frontline, Halfway (Waseda University), and more.
Thanks to our successful Kickstarter campaign, we have finished shooting the last three episodes in November 2013 and released the 4th episode on December 27th and completed the whole season on February 4th, 2014. We couldn’t have come this far without each one of you who believed in 2nd Avenue. Thank you!!!!
More updates to come shortly. Please stay connected with us on Facebook and Twitter:)
